I am excited to be involved in #MFGCON2018 as well as #NCCEOSummit2019. These great events are important to North Carolina Businesses. Ask me to tell you more.

As event director of mfgCON and the NC CEO Summit, Norwood Teague organizes an annual conference that provides attendees with tools for sustained business growth. MfgCON, hosted jointly by the North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership and Business North Carolina Magazine, combines networking with seminars in areas such as robotics, emphasizing workforce development and business growth. The NC CEO Summit brings together approximately 100 CEOs for networking, learning, and collaboration. This year’s event will be held in Pinehurst, April 1 & 2, 2019. Norwood Teague comes to his role from the University of Minnesota, where he engaged as director of athletics. In that position, Mr. Teague oversaw a facility construction plan worth $170 million, created a new student-athlete development center, and recruited Richard Pitino to coach the men’s basketball team.

Norwood Teague also held a similar position with Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was successful in significantly boosting Ram Athletic Fund membership and annual fund revenue efforts. He also brought in top-tier coaching talent that included Olympic Gold Medalist Tiffany Roberts as head of the women’s soccer program and Shaka Smart as men’s basketball coach. In 2011, Smart led the Rams to the NCAA Final Four.

A resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, Norwood Teague enjoys activities such as fishing and playing golf in his free time.
